Date and Place of Birth: 15th May 1887, Dulwich
Family: Son of John, husband of Mrs Gladys Barefoot, father of Peter, Brian and Michael Barefoot .
Early Life: Educated at Dulwich College. Inns of Court OTC 1915, served in ranks with RAMC in Egyptian Expeditionary Force 1916-1919. Well known in E. Anglia before WWII as a Promoter of a Repertory Company, "The Leslie Barefoot Players", (Eastern Daily Press, 22nd May 1941). Joined Bomb disposal company. Discharged 1945.
In 1920, with H Munro Cautley, he formed the firm ‘Cautley & Barefoot’, Architects. Barefoot was a founder member of the Suffolk Association of Architects and later President.
