Date and Place of Birth: 23rd October 1908, Salford, Lancs

Family: Husband of Mr Joan Isabel Skaife Taylor (nee d'Ingerthorpe) Married in 1946, died in 1985. A son and three daughters.

Early Life: Educated at Manchester Grammar School 1915-1925. In 1937 he became a Scout Commissioner of Central Division and also joined the Civil Defence.
